Dear Generals,

We have good news for you again. General Hans Stahlmüller and his Bugfixing Brigade have won another decisive victory against some obtrusive bugs. Here is a list of bugs that have been eliminated:

- Ranged units will no longer stop shortly before arriving in attack range. Now there should be less wrong combat results.
- The diplomacy menu no longer updates itself when you are writing a message, so that they are no longer sent to the wrong recipient.
- Friend invites no longer appear in the spy reports.
- The withdrawal of units from a combat situation through merging with other units should no longer be possible.
- The rallye points of provinces can no longer be abused to send units in enemy territory during peace period.
- Guests no longer receive an error message via the friend invitation popup.
- Some map paths have been improved.

Other changes:
- Unit packs are now free and available without rank requirement for all players.
- On some maps you could not win a medal. This was now changed, so that some medals are now awarded for multiple maps.

The changes were implemented on Tuesday.

We wish the General and his troops all the best in their next bug encounter and hope you like the changes.

Supremacy1914

Dear Generals,

General Stahlmüller has achieved more victories at the bug front and also wants to share other improvements with you. Let us keep it simple and let them speak for themselves.

HTML improvements:
- In the HTML version you can now search for provinces. To do that hit CTRL + F or use the new icon in the bottom right menu.
- The opened diplomacy menu no longer hides the resource bar.
- The opened espionage menu no longer prevents scrolling the map in the background.
- The espionage window is now smaller and can be moved.
- Further improvements to the HTML version will follow in the future based on your feedback.

Bug fixes:
- Fixed a bug which only displayed a white or black screen when loading Java games.
- Fixed a bug that more than one capital was shown in the province overview when building a capital is canceled before completion or when an enemy capital is conquered.
The following bugfixes have already been announced in the last news, but were postponed to today:
- Fixed a bug which lets the army symbols overlap.
- Fixed a bug that made it possible to land railroad guns without rails.
- Fixed a bug that obscured the search alliance feature.

Other changes:
- The awarding of the World Map medals was changed based on your feedback. Now the first three places receive separate medals. Retrospectively, the medals will also be distributed to former winners in the next days.
- AI messages for friend invites are no longer sent every 3 days, but every 5 days.

The changes have been implemented today.

Please also note that our plan regarding the unit packs was changed because of your feedback. We won't make the units mandatory and will only start every third world map with the packs activated for now. Regardless they will be available for free right from the start, beginning next week.

As always, we look forward to your feedback.

Supremacy1914

Dear Generals,

Our large user survey indicated that besides bugfixing your biggest wish is to have additional units in the game. To meet your desire, High Command decided to grant you immediate access to the entire arsenal. The plan includes the following steps:

- Starting today, unit packs are freely available to everyone, the gold pack will be removed. You can now play rounds with extra air and naval units regardless of your rank.
- Starting next week, the auto-created game rounds (30 player Europe map and the world map) will be created with unit packs activated.
- In the near future, after a transitional period the unit packs will be removed and all units will be fully integrated into the standard game.

Soon we also plan to devote some time to balance the game and make sure that the additional units are well integrated in the game.

Please let us know what you think about the plan and the additional units.

Dear Generals,

an urgent message from the Bugfixing front:

General Hans Stahlmüller and his iron Brigade have ventured deep into the northern steppes of eternal winter to eliminate the bug that kept many game rounds frozen since days. The General has succeeded in a heroic act to defeat the beast, so that all your game rounds should return to normal. A new mechanism now automatically cancels any commands that can lead to the occurrence of this bug. If a unit now may refuse your command, this is just for your own good!

Moreover, the already mentioned bugfixes from the last report were implemented:
- The bug that railroad guns can land on coasts without railway has been fixed.
- The bug that already defeated AI nations continue to send friend invitations has been fixed.
- A display bug which made it difficult to use the alliance search has been fixed.
- The bug that AIs cannot handle blueprints as a production requirement has been fixed.

The bug that makes your army symbols overlap has also been fixed, but not yet implemented.

We are excited to learn what the next victim of the Brigade will be.

Supremacy1914

Dear Generals,

We just received a new field report from General Hans Stahlmüller and his Bugfixing Brigade. After the initial success the brigade encountered severe resistance from the bugs. Heavy equipment had to be delivered directly to the frontline to tackle the situation. Here is a detailed overview of the successes and failures that have occurred since the last report:

- The bug that railroad guns can land on coasts without railway has been fixed.
- The bug that already defeated AI nations continue to send friend invitations has been fixed.
- A display bug which made it difficult to use the alliance search has been fixed.
- The bug that AIs cannot handle blueprints as a production requirement has been fixed.

Additionally General Stahlmüller found the reason for the bug that makes ships able to disembark on land: This occurs when a vessel is on the same position as a disembarking army is and the system automatically merges the two. This bug will be fixed, but currently the brigade is still embroiled in fights with a particularly resistant bug which led to some setbacks:

As it turned out not all frozen game rounds were fixed in the hotfix on Monday. There are several reasons for the bug to occur, fixing all individually would be a troublesome affair. Therefore the brilliant General is instead working on a new feature that should prevent the bug from the outset. This function will automatically cancel the invalid movement commands that lead to those infinite loops.
After this heroic feat the troops plan to focus on crushing a visual bug that leads to army symbols overlapping instead of being displayed separately, which makes the selection of armies difficult.

The bugfixes will be imported in the next few days, we hope you are holding out!

Of course you can also leave your feedback here regarding these field reports or the work of General Stahlmüller.

Until next time!

Supremacy1914

Dear Generals,

Our big survey has shown that a particularly issue is dear to your hearts: The elimination of the bugs. To fulfill your wish we have hired the infamous Bugfixing Brigade under the iron fist of General Hans Stahlmüller to put an end to the terror of the bugs.

General Stahlmüller and his troops already achieved the following results:
- Elimination of a bug that made some rounds freeze in an endless state.
- Elimination of a bug that prevented automatic firing. You just have to give a new command to the affected units so they return to normal behaviour.

Since both bugs were so severely hampering your gaming experience we implemented two hotfixes outside of our regular weekly update schedule to solve these problems. Therefore the servers may have been a bit slower at times. General Stahlmüller apologizes for the impact of his rabid methods.

The next success story will certainly not have wait very long, we'll keep you up to date!
