New Rocket available - PLD-8

Fueld by the scare that the discovery of the RSB-75 caused, EIC scientists started first test runs on a new type of rocket, the Plasma Charger Rockets, PLD-8. These rockets are filled with plasma that emits a molecular cloud when they explode. This cloud temporarily short circuits the weapon systems of the ship hit. The accuracy of the weapon system is highly compromised for a few seconds.

The energy required to start the reaction inside the PLD-8 leads to the rocket launcher needing about 30 seconds to recharge before it can fire another PLD-8.

This weapon never made it out of the prototyping stadium before it was discovered by the other Companies and also put to use there. The development for creating a stable PLD-8 hasn’t been stopped, but up until now no Company has found a way to improve the launching process which is the bottleneck in the PLD-8s use.
